Heading up our labour hire operations in Queensland is Paddy. With over 8 years experience in labour hire recruitment, he has built a strong reputation for delivering skilled, reliable and safety conscious workers to construction clients across Melbourne, Sydney & Gold Coast.

With extensive expertise in problem solving and understanding clients recruitment needs, Paddy prides himself on delivering excellent customer service.

Paddy is a dedicated professional who will go above and beyond to ensure service satisfaction for our clients, consistently exceeding expectations through his unwavering commitment.

We sat down with Paddy to get a better understanding of his background and how he feels regarding the new role he is undertaking.

How long have you been working in the construction and labour hire industry, and what initially drew you to this field?

I have been working in the construction industry as a labour hire manager for nine years. What initially drew me to the field was the opportunity to solve real workforce challenges and help projects succeed from the ground up. There is a strong sense of pride and satisfaction in passing through the city and knowing that you and your team have contributed to building certain parts of it.

What do you find most rewarding about your role?

Being part of an industry that creates tangible results. From placing the right people on the right jobs to then seeing exciting projects come to life.

What does a strong and successful client partnership look like to you?

For me, a successful client partnership is one where we become an extension of the client’s team. We anticipate challenges, provide proactive workforce solutions, and consistently help projects run safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Why is now an exciting time to be working in the Queensland construction industry?

Now is an extremely exciting time to be working in Queensland construction, with an unprecedented volume of projects across bigger cities and also regional areas this in turn is creating strong demand for skilled labour. Major infrastructure investment, combined with preparations for the 2032 Olympic Games in Brisbane, means consistent work and long term career opportunities for the workforce.

What excites you most about taking on the role as Queensland State Manager for Point Force Group?

The opportunity to lead and grow Point Force Group’s presence across Queensland. With strong market momentum and having an experienced team, I’m looking forward to building on existing relationships, expanding our footprint, and delivering consistent workforce solutions to our clients. Queensland is home to some of the highest quality builders in the country and an incredibly diverse construction market.

Outside of work, what are a few things that people might not know about you?

Outside of work, people might not know that I’ve travelled to over 50 countries. Last year, I took some time off to explore Africa, South America, and Central America, which provided incredible life experiences and the chance to engage with diverse cultures. Living in such a multicultural country as Australia, these experiences often enhance my interactions at work, as it’s rewarding to connect with people in the industry who come from, or have family in, countries I’ve visited. Those shared experiences create meaningful connections beyond the professional setting.

Point Force Traffic Team Member of the month:

This month’s Traffic Team Member of The Month is John! Since joining us, John has made a great impression on both staff and clients. In addition to great feedback from his site team, he was nominated by a fellow Traffic Controller, who highlighted that every day he shows up with a great positive attitude and always has his best foot forward. He is a great team player and truly cares for his fellow Traffic Controllers, assisting them in any way possible when on site, from set up to pack down!

Point Force Group VIC Christmas party

Just before Christmas we managed to get the VIC field and office crews together for our annual Christmas Party held at Prahran Hotel. After another groundbreaking year for Point Force Group it was a pleasure to get our Labourers, traffic controllers and farmworkers together to celebrate all the hard work and dedication they continue to put in out in the field. Their efforts are integral to the to driving our continued growth and success in the Australian construction industry and we wouldn’t be where we are today without them. Here’s to an even bigger 2026.

End of year progress report

After a strong start to 2025, Point Force Group managed to sustain strong momentum throughout the year, successfully filling 70,265 positions across labour hire, traffic control, and formwork. This substantial achievement helped to progress 2,019 projects and provided services for 919 different clients across Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland, making 2025 our biggest year yet.

These numbers reflect not only the growth in operations but also the depth of trust and confidence that hundreds of clients have placed in us to reinforce their teams, deliver skilled personnel when it matters most, and advance their projects towards successful completion.

None of this would have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our entire team, whose commitment to excellence has been the driving force behind our success. As we look ahead in 2026, we're excited to build on this momentum and continue delivering exceptional service to our clients across all three states.
