Workplace aggression is a critical issue that can risk safety. Below we will focus on how we can recognise and prevent such behaviour, creating a positive environment for everyone.

WHAT IS WORKPLACE AGGRESSION

    Any behaviour that causes physical, emotional, or psychological harm to others in the workplace. This can manifest itself in forms such as:

+  Verbal Abuse
+  Bullying
+  Threats
+  Harassment
+  Physical Altercations

Why It Matters

+  Aggression compromises workplace safety
+  It can lead to psychological & physical stress

IDENTIFYING WORKPLACE AGGRESSION

Be aware of sign such as

+  Frequent shouting or arguments
+  Threatening gestures or language
+  Bullying, isolating, or intimidating behaviour

Be aware of sign such as

+  Stay Calm: Avoid escalating the situation further
+  Report It: Inform your supervisor as soon as possible
+  Document It: Record details of the incident if possible
+ Intervene Carefully: If safe to do so, intervene to defuse the situation
